Hi Steve

Can't help thinking about you when your state comes up.

Are you experiencing this and if so how are you and the dogs feeling🙏

I hope to God this is just some sort of conspiracy theory. I'd like to think if a large volume of people witnessed this there would be a lot more talk about it especially on social media where people don't hold back.

He's such a different dog when happy especially Sabrina😍 He really needs that friend here.

The goats (neighbours wanderers) weren't keen on him though 😂

Awesome photos. It's good that he didn't try and kill the goats like some Bull Terriers might have.

As I right Steve, Memphis' staph infection has resurfaced😖 it's bloody quick. All I can think is the beach water/drain outlet may be the trigger. All the bumps are head n neck which makes me think I might have had something on me too🤷🏼‍♀️ straw/grasses with chookies perhaps. Anyway back to med washes🙏🏼

I have a Rescue here with me right now that I'm fostering. He barely had any fur left on him and his skin was raw and scabby. His neck, chest, and front legs were the worst. It was so bad the areas would bleed when I gave him a medicated bath. I'm confident most of his issue was Demodectic mange. The medicated shampoo provided temporary relief but did nothing to help with the issue.

With this particular case the problem was resolved with Nexgard Flea and Tick medication. Most dogs don't have a negative response to common Demodex mites, which inhabit hair follicles in most dogs. However, some dogs are severely bothered by these mites due to their weakened immune system. This could be something they were born with or perhaps a genetic disorder. A weak immune system can bring on many issues but when it comes to the Bull Terrier breed, skin issues will always be problematic.

Nexgard is probably one of the only medications that treats Demodex mites in dogs by utilizing an isoxazoline compound that acts as a potent acaricide, killing mites effectively within weeks. This product proved effective within a week as all the sores started healing and fur started to grow back. Right now I'm at the 2 week mark of treating him. I only gave him the Nextgard one time and will give him another tablet in 2 weeks when he hits the one month mark mark. I bath him every 3 days. After towel drying him, I rub some Desitin Ointment on him which helps a lot too. I'm very happy with the results I'm seeing.

I encourage you to try this same method with Memphis. It could very well be that Demodex mites are causing the issue and with the weather getting warmer his condition could be harder to manage. There's no harm in trying it and you may find it to be the answer to his condition if in fact he's having a reaction to Demodex mites or allergic to them.
